UK - England to Wales

Above the Wells Clock face, on the quarter hour, jousting knights go round in tournament! The hour is marked by a large gold sun pointer to a ring of Roman numerals, the minute is shown by a small star pointer (top) There are 7 tombs of the early Bishops of Wells starting from 938 but this one here (bottom) is for Thomas Bekynton who was Chancellor of England and Bishop of Wells and Bath from 1443 - 1464. He was the main builder and benefactor of the city.
